about ~ the short version

Altazar Rossiter

Altazar Rossiter PhD is a modern mystic with a deeply insightful intuitive ability. He is an holistic mentor and energy sensitive facilitator. He is the originator of what has become known as PROTOCOL WORK, in establishing a co-creative partnership with Spiritual Intelligence. This partnership is totally consistent with the new energy paradigm of self-empowerment that’s arising in human consciousness.

Since 2016 he has led a self-empowerment Mystery School, based in the Netherlands. In this space people are encouraged to remember who they are at their core, and own their sovereignty. He is dedicated to sharing practices for clearing the hidden obstacles to personal autonomy and cohernece with our Source connection. As such he identifies as a “SOURCERER”.

He appears relatively normal at first sight. However, although he has incarnated frequently on this planet, he carries energies from lifetimes in the star systems known as Archturus, Orion, Sirius, the Andromeda Galaxy and elsewhere.

A major life-shift occurred at the Harmonic Convergence, in 1987, which set him on a path of self-exploration. This was followed by a profound spiritual opening five years later in 1992, when he experienced a sudden awakening of his energy channels. After that he followed many healing modalities to find his unique expression.

His awareness of the multi-dimensional nature of our energy environment enables him to deconstruct the polarised prisons of consensus reality. This is what gives his work its unique depth. He is still evolving.

Altazar’s relaxed, inclusive, organic approach to the human condition integrates traditional spiritual practices with new paradigm multi-dimensional awareness. After years of trying to invent a clever title for his work he settled for what everyone who works with him calls it …

The Altazar Method.

Altazar has created a range of innovative training courses which he has taught internationally. These include a Working with Consciousness Facilitator Training Programme with the Shapers of Education Foundation in the Netherlands as well as Transforming Cellular Memory, Life Path Reading and Projection in Coaching seminars in the UK.

Altazar taught Reiki for a number of years in Ireland and is a registered facilitator of Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life seminar. His written materials have been used by the Zur Institute in California and on various other courses around the world.

Altazar Rossiter has a mixed background. He well understands the stresses of life in a corporate environment, after a long spell in the oil and gas industry, as an electrical engineer. He also has an academic doctorate {PhD in Semiotics ~ Psychoanalytic and Linguistic Theory), gained as a mature student.

He initially struggled with his emerging spiritual nature, resisting the life-changes it entailed. However, he has found his own balance with it now, in relation to the practicalities of living in the modern world.

Altazar is blissfully married to his partner, Rionach Aiken, for many years. This brilliant relationship continues to grow and inform his work. He is the author of two books in his own right on developing and partnering with Spiritual Intelligence. He also contributed a chapter to the acclaimed Nine Degrees of Autism.

For relaxation he plays guitar, and sometimes writes songs. Some of his musical offerings can be found on Bandcamp. He also has a presence on YouTube.

The longer story here, gives an indication of my progress through my process. It may even trigger some recognition or resonance if you read it …

I’m originally a London boy. I was born within the sound of Bow Bells (the bells of the church of St Mary-le-Bow, shown here). That officially qualifies me as an indigenous Cockney. I grew up in the London suburb of Tottenham.

Like most other post-war working-class families, we were not well off. My father was a carpenter and my mother did what was usual for those times, she stayed at home and looked after the house. They did not get on.

Ours was a practical and pragmatic household so I was not introduced to any spiritual (for spiritual read religious) practices at home. Although my mother was psychically sensitive without understanding it, or having any guidance to support her. All that stuff was “airy-fairy” and of no practical significance.

My first experience of any form of religion was at the school assembly on my first morning. All first-time kids were ordered to line up and led into the school hall. The headmistress then issued various instructions and, to my amazement, everyone closed their eyes and started talking to themselves out loud.

They were reciting what I later found out was the Lord’s Prayer. At the time I couldn’t understand why everyone was standing with their eyes closed talking to nobody. It seemed to me a demonstration of mass stupidity that I would never make sense of. Even so, I somehow knew that I was expected to join in, and that not doing so marked me out in some way.

Although I’d had no exposure to religion I did have plenty of experience of what I now know as sensitivity to the spiritual dimension. I could see things in the dark that everyone told me were not there, and my parents used to freak out when I explained how I could remember being a man when I was only four years old. I was firmly told to stop talking such rubbish.

None of that stopped me secretly thinking that they didn’t know what they were talking about. And it didn’t stop me remembering. But with no reference points to anchor the memories I stopped paying attention to them. And it was clear I had to keep some things to myself.

However, I knew that I did not fit where I was. For a great deal of my childhood I harboured a belief that a serious mistake had occurred, one that somehow resulted in placing me in an environment completely alien to my being.

We moved house when I was about nine, to a more upmarket neighbourhood. This meant I had to change schools, and it created a significant shift in how I expressed myself.

At my first school, which was in a relatively rough area, I’d been bullied consistently as a consequence of my softness – that’s to say the silly way I thought about things. This taught me mistrust and reinforced my sense of being a misfit. However, I’d also been treated very sensitively by some gifted teachers.

The contrast at my second school was something of a shock. This school was in what was regarded as a more respectable area, and there was harsh discipline for every minor misdemeanour.

At the new school there were Scripture lessons where “Christianity” was taught in a fervently unchristian way. The incongruity of the cruelty of the teaching style with the teachings themselves taught me to view all organised religion with suspicion. I was punished daily for my inability to remember biblical passages word-perfect.

Strangely enough the punishment for minor infractions was the same as for outright heroic defiance. It was very clear to me what kind of persona I had to adopt if I wanted to hold to any kind of personal truth, but it set me on a course of notoriety and rebelliousness that has never quite disappeared.

This also initiated a long period of denial where I would have nothing to do with anything that had religious (for religious read spiritual) undertones. I also determined to suppress my sensitivity at all costs. I entered a long period of self-rejection.

So, by the age of ten I was turning into a free-thinking, cynical and dissident atheist. I was also recoiling from festering tensions between my parents that seemed to grow with every passing day; tensions that I never saw reconciled in their lifetime together.

In spite of all this I passed the entry examination for a prestigious local grammar school. This school was modelled on the English public school system, which is actually an elite private school system. Although my school had been absorbed into the national education system, there were still some fee-paying students when I first arrived.

By this time the patterns of dissent and rebellion in my life were setting in with a vengeance. I was a difficult student, refusing to waste my time in conventional study, but I totally absorbed anything that spoke to my interest ~ learning to play guitar when I was 13. And I see now, something or someone was looking after me. I didn’t do really badly, neither did I shine – I survived.

But I was directed down a technical path, rather than an artistic one that suited my temperament. So, when the time came to leave the grammar school, I avoided an academic university education, because it looked like more misery following what others thought was good for me.

I chose something else that was “good for me”: a practical training in electrical and electronics engineering. There was a certain level of elitism attached to this as it required a practical application of intellect. But it fed my ego with an imagined sense of supremacy. I knew I was better than most of the people I had to interact with, until I woke up from my own delusion.

I was in fact more competent than many and I migrated into the oil industry in my mid-twenties (following the money). For many years I was involved in the design of power systems for off-shore oil facilities. I settled into a conventional kind of existence: marriage, job, home and affected a successful life-style. I was envied for my apparent prosperity.

I was wandering in a wilderness.

In my mid-thirties I started to wake up from the void of spiritual denial that I’d occupied since I was ten years old. The delusional self-identity I’d inhabited since early adulthood also started to crumble.

The pain and despair I’d been keeping a lid on for years suddenly hit me. I pretty much fell apart emotionally and teetered on the edge of nervous breakdown, although that was never diagnosed. I seriously considered suicide in what seemed to be a calm rational way, but made a commitment to sort myself out instead. I mention this in my book Developing Spiritual Intelligence – it was a pivotal moment for me.

I found a course on stress reduction, where I learned the Buddhist Metta Bhavana meditation practice. That practice was so familiar to me it was almost as if my energy system remembered it from another life … and it saved me in this one.

Then there was the Harmonic Convergence in August 1987. I was wandering around the house weeping uncontrollably. And there was no obvious reason, but I somehow knew it was ok. Something was quickening in me that had been lying dormant for a long time, quietly waiting to surface until my resistance had crumbled enough

From that point my old life disintegrated. I went back to college as a mature student, and gained a first-class honours degree in English. That led to a doctorate in Semiotics (Linguistics, Signs and Signification … and some Psychoanalytic Theory). I still thought I could think and educate myself into a new life, it took me a while to see I was simply reconfiguring my old patterns.

My doctoral thesis explored how we make sense of things in general as if the world were a text – a story that we have to learn to read. I looked at how linguistic theory developed through the twentieth century, weaving psychoanalysis with philosophy and literary theory. So, I gave myself the arts-based academic education that I was denied … and had denied myself as a I accommodated the distress and emotional chaos of my youth (some of my associates actually like to call me ‘Doc’).

At the same time as all of this I was seeing deeper and deeper into myself. I was meditating regularly with the Metta Bhavana practice. I was exploring a psychotherapy training, although it proved impossible to complete that as something else took over.

That something else was a deeper opening into the mystery I am. After five years of integrating into my new life expression, in 1992 I experienced the opening of my subtle energy channels in a dramatic way. It was like my entire nervous system was on fire. I had no idea what had happened, and no anchor points for it that I trusted. It blasted right through my rationality and intellectual cleverness. I was all over the place trying to make sense of myself again.

And somehow I could control the flow of the fire. I could induce the energy at will. I could invite it in, and stop it. I was, scared, amazed and excited. Here was something of the magic I always knew lived in me, and everyone else.

My old beliefs and ways of being had evaporated. People were encouraging me to connect with what we know as “spiritual healing”, and it seemed harmless to try it. At least, I knew I could walk away whenever I chose,. And walk I did, into a curious mixture of fantasy, love, delusion, sadness, pain …

I embraced the New Age with fierce determination, and no discernment whatsoever. Some things resonated, others were actually repellent and dangerous. The learning was often painful, tinged with betrayal, self-rejection, exploitation and a multitude of other non-spiritual human characteristics.

I explored several energy healing models, and teachers of varying quality and integrity. As things began to stabilise, I started to function as a shamanistic ‘healer’, taking on the occasional bit of free-lance engineering design consultancy to make ends meet.

But I always struggled with the label ‘healer’. From my perspective it cast me in the role of fixer, and it produced a kind of power dynamic that saw others as less relevant than me. It encouraged people to defer to me instead of trusting themselves. That never felt good.

Also, people seemed to expect me to understand their pathology in medical terms, and I have no medical or clinical training (nor desire for any). This wasn’t helped by a local family doctor who used to send me her hard cases, when I lived in Ireland in the 1990s. Nevertheless, it can’t be denied that strange transformations did occur, and people found various conditions improved after working with me.

However, what has always fascinated me is the impact of the psychological and emotional on well-being. It was where I needed to go in myself to produce what self-transformation it is that I’ve achieved, and it’s where I seem to be able to support others most effectively.

Over the years I’ve developed practices to align intentionally with our spiritual essence to produce deep and sustainable personal transformation. I share these in workshop intensives and sometimes personal sessions. So, I now support people to reclaim themselves from the emotionally reactive debris of their past, including other existences, as I have needed to myself.

Somewhere along the way, all this evolved into a Self-Empowerment Mystery School that I’ve been leading in the Netherlands since 2016. There was a near-death experience just before beginning this, which could be taken as an indication of the significance of this work. That project so dominates my attention and life-expression that I moved from the UK to live in the Netherlands in 2020, so as to commit to it fully.

In recent times this has progressed into identifying the subtle energy control mechanisms (meta-conditioning) at work underneath, and within, our social collectives, and focusing on liberating our consciousness from them.

Those mechanisms are energetic and tyrannical in nature, operating through multi-layered dominate and divide strategies. They infest our social order with compulsions to comply … even though we know our compliance validates an existence that undermines our personal sovereignty, authenticity and freedom.

Deconstructing this meta-conditioning, that we live and breathe without noticing, is one of my priorities. This is the stuff that constantly seeks to undermine any expansion in consciousness, through invisible compliance imperatives.

And it seems that the “system” tunes into the spiritual signature of the individual, detecting any expansion in consciousness that threatens to disrupt the status quo. So, as soon as that expansion is experienced a targeted response is triggered from the the “system” to counteract it.

This “system” relates to the ruling intelligences that have operated through the subtle energy realms of planet Earth for millennia. Shifting the vibrational frequencies of our consciousness beyond what is detectable by the “system”, increasingly informs the direction of my workshop seminars. It is also the area where I provide personal mentoring, when there is space in my schedule.

I’m consistently inspired with deeper insight into these mechanisms, their narratives and origins. Many of those insights manifest through the relationship with my partner, Ríonach Brid Aiken, and her shared wisdom.

There’s a poem that embraces my life story in a way that contains all the details of it without spelling them out. It’s called THE LAYERS, by Stanley Kunitz.

The Layers

I have walked through many lives,
some of them my own,
and I am not who I was,
though some principle of being
abides, from which I struggle
not to stray.

When I look behind,
as I am compelled to look
before I can gather strength
to proceed on my journey,
I see the milestones dwindling
toward the horizon
and the slow fires trailing
from the abandoned
camp-sites,
over which scavenger angels
wheel on heavy wings.

Oh, I have made myself a tribe
out of my true affections,
and my tribe is scattered!

How shall the heart be reconciled
to its feast of losses?
In a rising wind
the manic dust of my friends,
those who fell along the way,
bitterly stings my face.

Yet I turn, I turn,
exulting somewhat,
with my will intact to go
wherever I need to go,
and every stone on the road
precious to me.

In my darkest night,
when the moon was covered
and I roamed through wreckage,
a nimbus-clouded voice
directed me:

“Live in the layers,
not on the litter.”

Though I lack the art
to decipher it,
no doubt the next chapter
in my book of transformations
is already written.

I am not done with my changes.

Thank you for reading. And if any of this has inspired or resonated deeply with you, my work may be done. However, it might also be that we will make a connection in another way that serves an expansion and liberation of human consciousness.
